Poopify - Delete your Cloud Sync account and data
App: Poopify (Android) · Developer: Everton Carvalho Leite
Poopify works without an account. An account exists only if you turned on the optional Cloud Sync feature, by signing in with your Google account. This page explains how to delete that account and the data stored in the cloud.
Option 1: in the App (fastest)
- Open Poopify and open the menu.
- Tap Privacy.
- Tap Delete a Cloud Sync account, confirm, and choose the Google account you used for Cloud Sync.
This works even if Cloud Sync is turned off on that phone. Your Cloud Sync account and all your data stored in the cloud are deleted right away. The records on your phone are not affected.
The option appears on phones where Cloud Sync is available or was used. If you do not see it, use Option 2.
While Cloud Sync is on, Menu > Cloud Sync also offers Delete cloud account and data, Turn off Cloud Sync (to stop syncing and keep the cloud copy) and Turn off and delete cloud data.
Option 2: by email (if you no longer have the App or the phone)
Send an email to poopify.dev@gmail.com:
- from the same email address as the Google account you used for Cloud Sync (so we can confirm the request comes from you);
- with the subject “Delete my Poopify account”.
We will delete your account and cloud data and reply to confirm, within 15 days.
What is deleted
- Your Cloud Sync account (the link between Poopify and your Google account).
- All your records stored in the cloud: bowel movement logs, menstruation records, notes and profiles.
- The record of your consent to Cloud Sync.
Data deleted from our active systems is removed immediately. Residual copies in Google Cloud’s backup systems are deleted within the periods set by Google Cloud’s data deletion terms.
What is not deleted
- The records on your devices. Deleting the cloud account never deletes the data on your phone. To delete it too, use Erase All Data in the App’s menu, or uninstall the App.
- Your Google account itself, which is managed by Google.
- Usage statistics and crash reports (Google Analytics for Firebase and Crashlytics). They do not contain your records or your email, and they expire on their own: 2 months for usage events, 14 months for user-level usage data and 90 days for crash reports.
- Our email conversation, if you wrote to us. It is kept as a record of the request until you ask us to delete it.
See the Privacy Policy for details about the data the App processes and your rights.
